Makansutra Gluttons Bay Mang Kiko’s Lechon Roasted Pork Belly
Makansutra Gluttons Bay located at Esplanade Singapore, it easy accessible by MRT, Taxi or Buses. Is a place where you can find Chinese, Malay, Indian and Western food which operated in open air area. Usually very crowded at night and it has quite a numbers of stall.
I choose Mang Kiko’s Lechon as attracted by the picture display, well, to be exact is by the word pork which make me want to try it.
Make my decision for Roasted Pork Belly Set Meal SGD6, when it served I am very very disappointed as it totally different from picture.
Since the look is disappointed, I pray hard and hope that it taste good but my pray doesn’t work as the pork is rather tasteless.
What I dislike is the whole set don’t even has some sauce provided, the white rice is tasteless and the pork meat is without any sauce which mean tasteless as well, what a combination for total tasteless.

It’s sad you didn’t enjoy eating in Makansutra. I ate there twice and I was happy on both occasions. You should give it another chance. Try the Cereal Prawns. I love them! :D
Thanks for the recommendation, will try it on my next visit to Singapore.

You have 2 sauce dishes filled with sauces and you say there are no sauce provided? ROFL. You are not eating char siew rice or roasted prok rice. What kind of sweet sauce do you want? While I do agree that they could have season the prok a litlle. You know taht brown sauce, that brown sauce you had there? THAT actually flavours the pork. So perhaps you like to dip a bit of THAT sauce or maybe try some other sauces they have there?
Hi Choo, probably i have different tastes bud as you do but i looking for some kind of sweet sauce that you can get easily in Penang, Malaysia. if you happen to visit Malaysia please pay a visit to local Char Siew shop and i believe you will love it.

I was searching for food spot in penang & come across your blog, it’s very good blog, but one thing that catches my eyes is that this topic falls under malay food category and you have pork in the menu. Maybe it’s a mistake you did upon categorized the post. Just my 2cents. Tq.
Ardin, we are truly sorry for the stupid mistake. Hope you don’t feel offended. i have updated it immediately.
