The most important for a plate of great taste Char Koay Teow is the heat produce when stir fried it, the more heat during stir fried the better taste it can produce. The use of pork lard in most of the Chinese Char Koay Teow also play a very crucial part as it can help to make Char Koay Teow taste even better.
Has been eating Hiong Hiong Char Koay Teow since many years back, I always recommend this stall rather than any other stall in Penang as we feel it has the best taste and reasonable price.
RM3.50 for a plate with egg with few big prawn that outside selling for RM6 or even more expensive hence eating here is definitely worth the value.
Char Koay Teow here is not too dry or too oily, it has very great heat or burn smell and the sautéed level is just perfect, together with the fresh big prawn is just awesome.
