October is coming and the memorable event is definitely Octoberfest which is a 16-day festival held in Germany that been recognize as the largest fair around the world. Swez Brasserie Eastin Hotel as well tag along with the idea and came out with German Food Buffet name “German Galore Promotion” for the month of October. Unfortunately due to halal restriction there is no beer or pork but nevertheless we have the Jr. Sous Chef Kelvin Cheong who prepare some marvelous halal food and dessert.
We will served with German appetizer which is the German Sauerkraut Salad, which is cabbage pickle that has taste sour and crunchy bite texture, it also contain celery, capsicum, onions and sliced bratwurst.
German Potato Salad is an authentic food from German and it use to be appetizer that easily accepted by everyone as it has very simple yet delicious flavor, the boiled potato is cut into small pieces and then added with onions and turkey hams then season with vinegar, salt and sugar.
Main dish served with German Sausage, Chiken Schnitzel and Red Cabbage Pickle. Let start with the German Sausage in the plate, we have chicken and beef sausage with some German name on it that I just couldn’t recall or spell it, personally I like the beef sausage which has darker color as it has more flavor compare to others.
Chicken Schnitzel is the deep fried breadcrumbs wrapped chicken meat, chicken meat is succulent and flavorful. It goes well with the Red Cabbage Pickle as well, the Red Cabbage Pickle taste slightly sweet and sour that just form a perfect combination with the deep fried chicken.
We will impress by the next main dished served on table, a star design puff top with Beef Stroganoff. The sauce taste sautéed with light hints of mushroom flavor, the beef texture is soft and not chewy while the most attracting is the mushroom. The white color cream added is sour cream which add additional sour taste to the sauce.
End the meal with Black Forest Cake, the cake is moisture, soft and extremely delicious. The many layer of sponge cake and cream top with black chocolate is just awesome.
