Maeklong Railway Market Bangkok is a very special attraction that train will run through the market, it is really amazing to see how a market vendors run their business at both side of the railway track. Most important is Maeklong Raiway Market still very traditional market that sell local goods, fruit, meat, vegetable that similar with our wet market.
Selling fruit, vegetable at road side.
The market is running as usual when is train is not around, it pack with local people selling and buying.
The hawker is enjoying their morning life.
Maeklong Station which is the end of railway which mean the train will be board here and leaving at the same direction it coming from, with the right timing you may see the awesome scene twice within an hour where the train approaching and leaving the station.
Old lady is selling dried chili.
People start to run around and get ready their position, hawker are preparing to move their shade and moving their table away from the railway.
Coming soon, everybody is preparing.
Here come the train, it is much bigger than i expected. Train moving in low speed but I still feel the danger because it is so close to the tent and stall.
Immediately after the train pass they setup the tent and resume their business.
After like 20 minute or less the train leaving the station again and they are busy keeping their stuff to give way for the train.
Since the train is high from the ground hence some of the fruit or vegetable is leave on the floor and the train just pass by on top of it.
Resume business again, it back to their normal life.
It really awesome to see such unique way of doing business, everything happen so normal to local people but for us as a tourist we really amaze by their culture. Please do not expect something more than a train passing through a market else you will be disappointed, this trip is to learn local people culture, know what their eat and sell in wet market.
Our tour end here and we are taken back to Khao San Road, we reach there around 1.30pm which is pretty early and we have no plan to do anything. Continue next to our Khao San Road exploration.
