Eastin Hotel May theme is Italian Flair where they introduce a series of Italian cuisine to their semi buffet. Some interesting dishes will be served and among the many dishes we taste Braised Osso Bucco which is braised lamb shanks is top of our favorite list. Let go through together what we had ate in our review.
Panzanella Salad, Fresh tomota slice served with cheese and basils, season with olive oil and vinaigrette. The cheese has the right level of taste which does not overpower the fresh tomato and both combine create a very fresh taste.
Assorted Bruschetta, three different type of Bruschetta such as mushroom, chicken and seafood. The long thin loaf aka baguette slightly chewy and thick cut making it a little bit hard for a bite. Among three flavor i personally like the Seafood more as it has better texture and flavor, the rest is not bad either.
The Cream of Tomato & Basil Soup, very strong pure tomato flavor without other seasoning making this bowl of soup very refreshing, i truely enjoy the natural sourness extracted out from the tomato which is extremely smooth.
Verze alla Capuccina, boiled assorted vegetable such as purple cabbage, tomato and carrots season with butter, cheese, salt and pepper with some almond flakes. I some how has the impression this is German dish, don’t ask me why, i just dont know why i have that conclusion. Cheers! Well, the overall texture and taste is not bad.
Chicken Milanese,perfectly deep fried chicken to golden color served with tomota rice, we really enjoy the crispiness of chicken skin and juiciness of chicken meat inside.It is extremely soft and fully absorb the flavor of marinated sauce.
Lasagna al Spinaci, we always has the impression that one person cannot finish one big pieces of Lasagna but we are wrong, Eastin chef make a twist to ordinary Lasagna by putting lot of Spinash in the middle, the spinash reduce the strong cheese flavor and introduce some vegetable fresh taste, we enjoy eating the “green” Lasagna.
Braised Osso Bucco, it is actually braised lamb shanks. We know that the soup use to braised this lamb must be perfect else it will not has such texture and flavor that we looking for, it is very tender and full of flavor. To be honest, i don’t mind to take one whole piece of the lamb shanks and enjoy it myself. LOL!
Beef Meat Balls with Cheese, the key character of this bowl is the Beef Meet Ball which slightly salty to our liking but dipping with the spaghetti sauce making it acceptable.
Banana Pudding, pudding is soft and moisture filling with ripe banana in it which make it full of banana flavor.
Tiramisu, due to the Hala restriction they not allow to use alcohol for this tiramisu, without the present of alcohol in Tiramisu just feel like missing something, nevertheless the overall Tiramisu dessert is still not bad.
