Let get started with Kerabu which is a mixture of various ingredients with local dressing aka salad. Assorted Kerabu such as Kerabu Ikan Kembung(Mackerel Salad), Kerabu Sotong(Squid Salad), Kerabu Udang(Prawn Salad), Kerabu Nangka(Jackfruit Salad) and Kerabu Daging Salad(Beef and Mango Salad). Each has it own unique taste and most of them are very appetizing, definitely a great start for buffet.
Personally we enjoy eating the mango salad and those salad with rice noodle, rice noodle able to fully absorb those sweet and sour flavor while provide a springy texture.
Nasi Ulam is an traditional rice dish that mixed with various herbs and vegetables.
If you not use to those traditional appetizer then you may choose to have the western salad as well.
On the main dish there is some local hot dishes for selection, such as Hong Kong Kailan with Garlic, Gulai Ayam and Sambal Sotong Emak
Braised Tofu with Seafood, Daging Masak Kicap and Curry Prawn
Laksa was rather disappointed as it has very strong burnt smell and fishy taste, there is big room of improvement for Laksa.
Roti Canai is not bad, it has the crunchiness for those freshly made but it a little bit chewy for those left over long period, I would suggest they only made a few or made it upon request to ensure crunchiness.
There is two type of Satay, either Chicken Satay or Beef Satay. Chicken Satay is pretty delicious and soft but Beef Satay is way too hard and chewy.
Prawn Cracker and Fish Cracker
Fruit Corner consists of orange, watermelon, honeydew…etc.
Traditional Dessert very attracting, those are the dessert we use to eat during Hari Raya from our beloved Malay friends. Each of the traditional dessert has its own unique texture and flavor, tasting each of them filling at least a quarter of my stomach but it definitely worth it.
Here is another famous traditional dessert Pulut Hitam which is one of my favorite of the night even though it slightly too sweet but I like the taste and texture very much.
Rojak Corner is another type of fresh fruit salad mix with shrimp paste.
Three different flavor of ice cream pre scoop and keep in the fridge, it definitely a good idea to avoid long scooping time which always make the ice cream melt.
Assorted western dessert such as Chocolate Cake, Strawberry Cake and Cheese Cake.
If you are not fan of buffet, you may opt for Rock Platter for RM120++ (2 Pax), the package include appetizer, main course and dessert. Rock Platter serving time from 11:30am until 10:30pm starting from 10th July until 7th August 2013.
Rock Platter is extremely presentable where assorted local delicacy such as Onion Ring, Tomato Rice, Tomyum Linguine, Red Cooked Chicken, Tupelo Chicken Tenders, Grilled Mini Beef Quesadilla, Hickory-Smoked Barbeque Chicken, Mini Rendang Pulled Chicken Sandwich.
Dessert of the day is Mini Apple Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream.
