G Hotel has officially launched ‘A Time to Give’, Christmas charity program in the aid of the Salvation Army during the Christmas tree lighting ceremony held recently on the 30th November 2013.
During the ceremony, the children from the home were invited to the hotel to hang their wish cards on the Christmas Wish Board to kick start the charity program. All wish cards represented each child from the home which includes their name, age, gender and wishes. Patrons who are interested to make contribution can simply select a wish card, buy the gift and place them in the dedicated area before 16th December 2013.
As soon as the program was launched, many were seen selecting the wish cards to donate and contribute to the program during the ceremony.
On 19 December 2013, children of the Salvation Army were invited to the hotel that day to receive and unwrap their presents. The children celebrated this joyful day of Christmas in the hotel lobby with staffs as well as guests who had contributed to the program.
The even started with a performance of Christmas carols and bells by the children of Salvation Army. The children then received their Christmas presents with great excitement and enthusiast. Like last year, each child received three presents for Christmas. Guests who had decided to join in the event that day mingled with the children as they opened up their presents along with G Hotel’s staff.
“Held annually for Christmas, ‘A Time to Give’ charity program has gained extensive awareness over the years since it first launched in year 2008. Many have returned every single year to support the program. For that, we would like to thank the public for the great support”, said Mr. Michael Hanratty, General Manager.
