Bao Zhou Po Claypot Porridge 煲粥婆养生沙煲粥 located at Jalan Kampung Malabar, which is a few slot away from Ho Ping Cafe. We decided to try out their clay pot porridge after so many positive feedback from fellow blogger. They do have live prawn and crab right in front of the restaurant, you can choose your fresh ingredients to cook in the signature porridge. By the way, the good news is currently they offer 20% discount for a la carte item which valid until 30 November 2014.
The waiting time for porridge is 35 minutes, you can either call in first or you can enjoy waiting with free Wifi in the restaurant.
A big bowl of coriander is served to every table, it add an extra flavor to the porridge.
After 35 minutes waiting, finally our porridge is here. We order one big crab around 480 grams with 300 grams of fresh prawn, RM11/100gram for crab while RM10/100gram for prawn. Highly recommended the combination of prawn and crab porridge, we are really surprise with seafood sweetness that perfectly blend into porridge. We prefer the prawn over crab as it taste so sweet and fresh, it has very good texture as well. Unfortunately during our visit there is no female crab available else it will be even better.
This is so good, we just enjoy it so much. The porridge is very smooth and delicious,
Fried Mushroom, very thick mushroom perfectly stir fried with sauce, it is very simple cooking but the “wok hei” make it so delicious.
