Noor & Dean’s Kafe and Noordin Street House Georgetown Penang, one of the top ranking restaurant in TripAdvisor for Georgetown Penang. On top of that, it is a boutique hotel as well. The restaurant offer authentic local delicacy with some great western food in their menu, signature dishes such as Laksa, Satay and more are tourist favorite.
Being one of the heritage building, the structure and design is well preserved and maintain. Wooden chair and table are widely use in the restaurant with whole lot of antique vase and decorative item as decoration is just nice.
Noor Meets Dean RM12, very refreshing drinks that include pineapple, orange, lemon and berry.
Cool Mint & Lime Fritz RM12, combination of lemon and mint which taste extremely sour but very refreshing.
Faux Champagne RM12, mixture of apple, pineapple, orange and other fruits.
Noor & Dean’s Platter RM35, a big platter combination of Stay, Chicken Dynamite, Cucur Udang and Pakora. Personally I live the Chicken Satay very much as it perfectly marinated and taste flavorful, most important still the Satay sauce which has whole lot of peanut in it and taste so good. Chicken Dynamite is something special here, it is actually green chili filled with cheese and chicken meat, at first I am pretty scare to try as I don’t like the green chili taste but I am wrong here, it doesn’t has strong chili flavor instead it taste fresh and the filling taste well balanced with the chili. The other two item Pakora and Cucur Udang are perfectly deep fried to crispy texture and taste good with the dipping sauce provided.
Shish Kebab & Pasta RM28, a very creative combination of Italian vs Indian cuisine into one plate. We enjoy the nice presentation of this dish as well, hanging Kebab with assorted vegetable while Paste are served on something like a flower pot.
Lamb Shank RM38, my favorite of the night. Big portion of lamb shank perfectly marinated and cook for long hour to fully absorb the sauce flavor, it was fall-off-the-bone tender and flavorful. The Lamb Shank pair perfectly with the mash potato and fresh vegetable.
Bawal Goreng Juru RM16, this is one of the Penang famous delicacy where Juru is a small town located at main land of Penang, a lot restaurant served great Ikan Bawal Goreng in that area. Great to know that they have this delicacy as well, Ikan Bawal aka Black Pomfret is perfectly deep fried to crunchy texture and pair with a bowl of rich flavor curry.
Sizzling Almond Cake RM12, I bet you never try this before as it is something new to us as well. Normally Dessert either served in cold or hot but in Noor & Dean’s Kafe they served cold ice cream and cake in hot sizzling plate. The cake still taste hot on our first bite, almond cake very moist and not too sweet which is nice pairing with vanilla ice cream.
Pandan Sago Gula Melaka RM6, well cooked sago that maintain it round and individual texture instead of stick together and the great flavor of Gula Melaka and Coconut Milk combination make it taste so good.
We are lucky to have a site our in Noordin Street House Boutique Hotel. The Boutique Hotel has 8 suites in which it has it very own design and decoration, building are perfectly restore to highest standard. Room are fitted with 1950s retro furniture and maintain to tip top condition.
