We went on Thursday Japanese Inspired with International Buffet, we are expecting some great Sushi and Sashimi that symbolic the Japanese cuisine. Wait, shall we go straight to Sushi and fill up our stomach so fast? Probably not, so let get started with some appetizer and soup first. Over to Salad and Appetizer counter there is Potato Salad, Baby Octopus, Seaweed Salad, Wafu Salad, Marinated Jelly Fish...etc.
Assorted bread and cheese. We did try a couple of cheese with biscuits and it taste extremely well.
I like this plastic glove that help on food hygiene.
Moving to Sashimi counter there is Maguro, Salmon, Tilapia and Butter Fish. Thick slice of fresh Sashimi, you can dip with the provided wasabi and soy sauce, I love the Sashimi as it is very fresh and sweet.
One of the main attractive dishes must be Seafood On Ice, Shell Mussel, Black Mussel, Shell Scallop with Roe, Flower Crab, Tiger Prawn, King Crab...etc. I love the food presentation, the whole area is fully cover by assorted seafood and in the middle King Crab are added to make it look special. Overall the seafood is extremely fresh especially the King Crab that is very sweet and a few Crab Leg is enough to fill my stomach, did i say a few or a lot? em, i lost count on how many i ate. Another seafood caught my attention is the scallop, i rarely see buffet served such big size scallop and it came with roe some more, normally buffet served those scallop size like 10 cent but here it is so big and thick.
Assorted Sushi such as Nigiri, California Hand Roll, cucumber sushi, crab meat sushi...etc
Together with Cod Soba Noodles. Yes, we ate 2 cup of Soba Noodles because we just love it so much, we like to add some wasabi and a lot of seaweed into it.
Chinese BBQ & Dim Sum Station, steamed chicken, roasted chicken, roasted duck and chicken char siew. Well, if you are hungry you may try the Chicken with rice (smell like Hainan Chicken Rice). Well, i have a big plate of protein here and Chicken Char Siew is my favorite, it is perfectly marinated and cook to perfection, flavorful and tender.
Roasted Chicken and Chicken Char Siew.
Some deep fried food such as Fried Calamari, Money Bag, Prawn Roll, Seafood Korokke...etc, personally i don't eat much deep fried item on buffet as it easily fill my stomach and i prefer to keep my stomach for something else, with that said i just try a few small piece of the item in this station and overall not bad.
Over to the main course station, I like the food presentation and a couple of dishes really delicious such as Stir Fried Prawns Vietnamese Style, Teriyaki Chicken, Lamb and Gyoza. Overall taste well balanced, it is not too sweet or too salty. It is just right for buffet as not overpower other dishes. I forgot about the Cod Fish as well, it is very special dish to be found in buffet especially cooking with Miso sauce.
Stir Fried Prawns Vietnamese Style
Fried Green Mussels with Ginger & Spring Onions
Chicken Truffle Cream with Teriyaki Sauce
Chicken Truffle Cream with Teriyaki Sauce
Beef Rolled with Asparagus & Enoki
Japanese Vegetable Potato Stew
Beef Steak with Sauteed Edamame & Wasabi Mustard Dressing
Eggplant with Minced Chicken & Bean Sauce & Chives
Grilled Salmon with Butter Shoyu Sauce
Assorted Fresh Fruits such as honey dew, watermelon, pineapple, jack fruits...etc.
Last but not least, DESSERT!
The long list of dessert can be found here is impressive, let me name a few that i can remember such as White Chocolate Mousse Cake, Cake Cheese Cake, Sago and Mango Compote in Glass, Cream Puff, Assorted Pudding and Jelly, Apple and Cinnamon Strudel with Vanilla Sauce, Lemon Meringue Tart....etc.
