Visit Bangkok Tomyam after Team Building and this is my very first visit to this famous Bangkok Tomyam Malay-Thai Restaurant located near to Penang Air Port. Lot of parking space available, big restaurant but a little bit hot during lunch time.
Open kitchen, many chef cooking in the kitchen. Full house during our visit but food serve very fast, so fast that we not even settle down.
We go for Set C which is RM98 for all below food, very reasonable price and it came with a jug of fruit juice as well.
Tomyam Campur with fish meat, squid and prawn in it. Tom Yam soup taste not bad but it will taste even better if more spiciness and sourness added.
Ikan Siakap Tiga Rasa, perfectly deep fried fish top with sweet, spicy and sour sauce. We really enjoy the crispy fish meat.
Ayam Pedas, chicken are cut into cube shape then cook with assorted vegetable in sweet and spicy sauce.
Kerabu Mempelam, very appetite dish that has slice mango, onion, peanut, chili with fish sauce in it.
Sotong Goreng Kunyit is one of the best, squid is nicely cook to soft texture, not chewy and the Kunyit sauce make it taste good.
All above are included in Set C except this extra order, Udang Goreng. The only down side of this restaurant is the prawn use, fresh water prawn is not that fresh and it has some weird flavor.
