Kareem Pasembur Best In Penang

Kareem Pasembur is my favorite Pasembur in Penang, no doubt. Although the helper is not really friendly but uncle is extremely friendly, he will say hi to you and chit chat as well. Their signature ingredients is deep fried prawn cracker, it is totally different from others as the amount of prawn in single piece of prawn cracker is countless. It is perfectly deep fried to flavor and taste extremely delicious. Another must take item is the deep fried squid, big in size and doesn’t has the chewy texture. Other that that, there is huge variety of fish cake, fish ball, potato…etc. Something worth mention is the gravy, super thick gravy that taste sweet and rich in flavor. Uncle is pretty generous on his gravy as well, he always give me a huge bag as he know I love it very much.

Azme Corner Halal Nasi Lemak

Recently Nasi Lemak has become so popular and now there is even restaurant that sell Nasi Lemak only. Azme Corner starting their Nasi Lemak business at Singapore from 1999 and since then they have open up more and more branches, recently they introduce their unique Nasi Lemak to Penang people at Jalan Macalister. The restaurant located right at the corner of shop lot with an obvious Pakcik face, i assume that is Azme face (i might be wrong).

Nasi Lemak Ikan RM7.50 came with a bigger than average size deep fried fish, egg, ikan bilis with kacang, cucumber and special sambal. Fish are marinated well then deep fried to flavor, ikan bilis is crunchy as well. Special sambal impress us with the spicy taste which goes well with the nasi and fish.

Projek Nasi Lemak Dato Keramat Penang

Projek Nasi Lemak is a newly open Nasi Lemak restaurant located at Dato Keramak, beside Public Bank. Parking is a problem at this area as limited space available right in front of the restaurant.
Projek nasi lemak Penang

Five different combination of nasi lemak available, Chicken Set RM8.50, Squid Set RM13, Fish Set RM8, Egg Set RM4.50 and Prawn Set RM15. Chicken Set RM8.50 is rather reasonable as they gave big pieces of chicken but prawn RM15 is a little bit too expensive.
Projek nasi lemak Penang

Coconut Shake RM4, pretty good shake as they have coconut fresh in it and top with a generous amount of vanilla ice cream.
Projek nasi lemak Penang

Set Ayam RM8.50, deep fried whole chicken leg, deep fried chili anchovies, crunchy nut, cucumber with sambal and nasi lemak sauce. Overall taste pretty good for the nasi lemak sauce and sambal, i like the deep fried chili anchovies as well. Deep fried chicken slightly lack of flavor but it is extremely crispy.

Meng Chai Beef Noodle Butterworth Penang

Meng Chai Beef Noodle established since 1950 (according to banner), honestly I have never heard of Meng Chai Beef Noodle before and this going to be our very first visit as well. The beef noodle seller is Chinese but most of the customer are Malay, I am very surprise to see many Malay friends visit this restaurant, it must be Halal then. Good service here, the owner promptly greet us and getting order from us, food serve fast and bid goodbye with us.

Meng Chai Beef Noodle

Beef Noodle starting from RM5 to RM10, Herbal Beef Noodle RM10 Small, RM15 Big. We only try clear soup beef noodle which is Mee Hailam Sup Daging Lembu, it came with few slice of beef meat, tendons and stomach. The soup taste rather normal without much beef flavor but the beef meat is nicely done to soft texture, eating tendons is like eating hard jelly with a little bit chewy texture.

Chili sauce is not the type I looking for but adding some soy sauce still not bad.
Meng Chai Beef Noodle

They do have RM1.20 Nasi Lemak as well, taste sauteed and spicy. Not bad.
