FC Watermelon Love RM40, WAIT! Did they just served a whole big watermelon? This is a little bit unexpected! In side the watermelon are fill with mix Vodka, Midori, Lychee Liqueur and Watermelon.
FC Sunshine RM40, another big fruits and this time we had Pineapple. Mixture of Smirnoff apple vodka, frangelico, organic raspberry jam and fresh pineapple.
FC Homemade Caesar Salad with Smoked Duck RM20, fresh crunchy romaine lettuce and crouton dressed with Parmesan cheese served with smoked duck breast. Great balanced of salty and acidity flavors from dressing, smoked duck are extremely well prepared and pack a punch of flavor.
Australian Striploin Meltique Beef 200GM RM60, fine grade of Australian beef grilled to perfection served with mince onion, tomato and mango. The beef were some of the most tender I ever try, easily cut and bite.
Teriyaki Fresh Salmon Trout RM40, pan fried fresh salmon trout with sauteed vegetable and mushroom. A good piece of Salmon just need simple preparation, chef nail it with just pan fried to make the crispy skin with juicy meat.
Seafood Pesto RM24, made by crushed cheese, garlic and herbs together. With Basil leaves as main ingredients together with seafood such as clam, squid and prawn. Pasta are cook to el-dente while the Pesto taste extremely well, usually Pesto sauce tends to taste strong but in Frienscino they make it to mild flavor that allow me to easily finish one whole bowl of Pasta.
Chocolate Lava RM22, looking for fancy food presentation to impress your partner? Chocolate Lava with Fireworks is a must order, lighting up the firework while serving hot chocolate cake is really impressive. Chocolate cake itself are very smooth in texture, combine with the bitter taste from dark chocolate create a perfectly balanced taste.

Gurney Paragon extend their food court to even bigger and more vendor, with that said, more food variety are now available at one of the best food court in Penang mall. Great variety of hawker food can be found here such as Laksa, Lobak, Chicken Rice…etc, other than that Korean Food, Japanese Food, Mediterranean Food, Chinese Food, Thai Food…etc all available here.
Appetizer such as Cup type Jiu Hu Char that has crispy cup that hold stir fried vegetable with dried squid, the cup itself is edible and it taste real good.
Another appetizer is Popiah, deep fried to crispy skin and dipping with chili sauce is the best.
Roasted pork that is juicy with crispy skin, it has the right level of saltiness and best to eat together with Char Koay Teow.
Yummy Yummy Char Koay Teow, Penang signature hawker food that should not miss. Normally food court Char Koay Teow taste just normal but the one found here are pretty good, i won’t say the best but it is a decent one.
When it come buffet Eastern & Oriental Hotel Sarkies always our first choice, during the Ramadhan Month 2016 buffet (6 June – 5th July 2016) price at RM133 nett for adult and RM60.95 nett for child. The buffet served with signature dishes such as roasted whole lamb, snow crab on ice and many other great dishes. As usual we are surprise by the great variety offer throughout the buffet line and during Ramadhan month they even extend the buffet to have more item such as traditional kuih, somtam, satay, grilled whole lamb, teh Tarik…etc. It is certainly interesting to dine in E&O buffet.

Make it local by add in sambal instead of typical dressing, Thousand Island, Mayonnaise is boring. Sambal that is signature sauce that added to local salad which taste extremely spicy but trust me, it is very addictive.
If you are duck lover like I do then you must not miss the Roasted Duck, it is one of the best roasted duck I have among the many Hotel buffet I had, it is even comparable to road side hawker stall. Duck meat is perfectly marinated to flavor and roasted to flavor, meat is juicy and flavorful. If you are not into duck then try the roasted chicken or roasted beef.
Assorted cracker available as well, use it to dip with curry is always the best.
If you are not into Ramadhan mood and looking for bread then this station won’t disappointed you with assorted bread.
Last year we have a wonderful Valentine Dinner at Soul Cafe and this year we are here to try out their upcoming Valentine menu again. 2016 Valentine Dinner at Soul Cafe only RM268nett per couple including of wine, appetizer, appetizer(no, i am not repeat. 2 Glasses of Moscato Wine, Moscato Wine is a sweet white wine that is mild on alcohol, around 6% and taste sweet. It has extremely soft and smooth texture.
Cream of Cauliflower drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and croutons. It taste creamy with a little bit of salty taste and cauliflower sweetness, it is balanced in flavor and taste good.
Lemon and Basil Seafood Pasta with extremely fresh prawn, blue mussel and squid. Personally I don’t eat Mussel as it has weird taste but it taste completely different here, it is extremely fresh and nicely done to flavor. Pasta has pretty strong Lemon and Basil fragrance with smooth olive oil to enhance it overall texture and flavor. So, you might be asking why I go for Entree without the 2nd appetizer? Em…Em…the big portion pasta is just appetizer. Entree come next.
For Entree you got to choose either Grilled Red Snapper or Bacon Wrapped Lamb Rack.
Grilled Red Snapper, definietely one of the best snapper i ever had, no fancy seasoning instead just a sprinkle of salt is good enough to bring the original sweetness of seafood. We really enjoy the crispy skin of red snapper and the meat taste just awesome. We just forgot about the BBQ dressing that served together..LOL!
Bacon Wrapped Lamb Rack, Lamb Rack nicely pan fried to crispy outer layer then wrapped with bacon and oven roasted to perfection. Topping with sauce verde anchovy (green herb). The add on bacon wrapped gave lamb rack a boost of flavor, both mix well and create a strong flavor dish. One more please!
French Rose Tiramisu, we has been long in love with Winter Warmer Rose Cheese Cake but we never try Rose Tiramisu before. Rose Tiramisu served here are surprisingly good especially the strong rose fragrance that make the Tiramisu smell completely different.
Complete our romantic dinner with a cup of Long Black or Earl Grey Tea.
