“Gala House” housed in the heritage building along Lebuh Muntri is a restaurant, café & bar that offer vast selection of burger, pasta and meat. The name has been established for quite a few years and since gaining popularity among local and tourist, setup is more of retro with a VW van as decoration.
Clam in Wine & Fresh Herbs Broth RM18, fresh and big clam cook with Sauvignon Blanc seasoning with cilantro, chilies, onions and fresh lime juice. Strong wine fragrance boost up clam natural sweetness.
It is so painful when you suddenly craving for burger and found no good burger at your current location, fortunately we are lucky to search in google and found this Pork Burger Restaurant Ric’s Burger.
Ric’s Burger has been quite well known in Georgetown area but I did not know that they have a second branch at Bayan Lepas. I am always outdated! LOL.
Anyhow, the Orignal burger without any additional topping is just RM7.90 which is pretty reasonable although the portion is not really big but good enough for an adult lunch meal.
Not only pork burger available instead they do have beef, lamb, salmon, mushroom and egg burger as well.
Their french fries taste very good as well and with extra cheese or kimchi topping making it taste awesome.
S.Wine Restaurant is a newly open restaurant at Ground Floor of Queensbay Mall, offering wide range of pork cuisine. This will be my favorite restaurant as everything about pork is always my favorite. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has great visibility from external of Queensbay Mall.
Lemon Honey RM9 with extremely generous slice of Lemon and one big cup of honey.
Warm Pork Confit, Watermelon & Lychee Salad with Asian Greens & SPicy Lemongrass Vinegrette RM38, big chunks of pork belly roasted to perfection served with fresh and crunchy vegetable is just awesome, sweetness of watermelon create a balanced taste between pork and vegetable.
Grilled Pork Neck & Green Mango Salad with Pomelo, Asian Greens & Spicy Salty Lime Dressing RM28, pork neck are nicely marinated to flavor served with assorted fresh vegetable and one of the highlight is the basil leave which has very strong flavor and spicy salty lime dressing taste pretty good.
Chargrilled Jerk Pork Belly, 6 Hour Sous Vide & Served with Lychee Pineapple Salad & Green Goddess Sauce RM30. Pork belly has firm texture and caramelized on the fat layer give a bit of chewy texture, due to the high content of fat hence every single bite are fill with pork lard fragrance.
Gurney Paragon extend their food court to even bigger and more vendor, with that said, more food variety are now available at one of the best food court in Penang mall. Great variety of hawker food can be found here such as Laksa, Lobak, Chicken Rice…etc, other than that Korean Food, Japanese Food, Mediterranean Food, Chinese Food, Thai Food…etc all available here.
Appetizer such as Cup type Jiu Hu Char that has crispy cup that hold stir fried vegetable with dried squid, the cup itself is edible and it taste real good.
Another appetizer is Popiah, deep fried to crispy skin and dipping with chili sauce is the best.
Roasted pork that is juicy with crispy skin, it has the right level of saltiness and best to eat together with Char Koay Teow.
Yummy Yummy Char Koay Teow, Penang signature hawker food that should not miss. Normally food court Char Koay Teow taste just normal but the one found here are pretty good, i won’t say the best but it is a decent one.

We always excited to visit The BARN as we are pork lover and their pork always da best, check previous review of The BARN Wine Bar that we eat whole lot of finger licking pork.
Cold Cuts RM55, various type of cold cut include 4 types of premium meat, served with mix of olives and balsamic vinegar.
Candy Bacon Platter RM29, generous amount of nice crispy bacon coat with a layer of sweet sauce. I love it so much.
Tapas Combo Platter RM68, a combination of Satay, Ham, Potato Wedges, Button Mushroom, Roasted Pork and Chicken Wing. Best tapas to goes along with beer, a plate of Tapas Combo is good enough for sharing with a couple of friend with a few cup of beer. Deep fried Button Mushroom taste awesome, it is something special that we never try before. Other deep fried items are as good, not greasy at all.
Cheese Platter RM45, two different type of cheese, assorted dried fruits, grape, celery and biscuit combination. Well, we found the cheese to be too generous as we 9 person only consume half of it, it will be good if more biscuit provided as applying a thick layer of cheese with add on dried fruits on top of biscuit is perfect combination.
