Welcome to Seafood Buffet at E&O, this month buffet theme is Chef Petr’s Catch at Sarkies @ E&O Hotel, Penang. We are so happy to enjoy buffet in E&O Hotel again, we have very positive review on our previous visit E&O Sarkies Corner Buffet where we enjoy so much the food and the special event. I am so excited seeing so much delicious food and my stomach is growling when I take photo, I have hundred of photo to share here but to limit everything in one page hence I do some combine, I do hope my extra effort appreciated by our fellow beloved reader. Without teasing you much let get started with our buffet night.
We start the night with Salad that help us “lubricate” our stomach in ordered to eat more. Assorted vegetable with salad ingredients such as nuts, fruits, grains…etc served together with 8 type of dressing. As an appetizer salads it is really heavy if we will to try all of that, even a small portion each can kill our stomach hence we just eat one small portion to keep our stomach available.
Next to the Salad Station is Cheese Station, assorted cheese provided with crunchy vegetable and biscuit. I truly love the way they presented those cheese, it is simply pleasing.
Dry fruits is provided as well, it can be eat as snack or put inside salad for extra flavor.
Bakery Station is another interesting station but we did not taste any of it due to stomach limitation, it is great for bun lover.
Oh Yes! We are still in appetizer session and before we move to main dish I would like to share with you a few type of cold salad, there is huge range of selection such as mix mushroom salad, mix sausage salad and a few other type.
Oyster Fried Egg
Last but not least, local appetizer Pasembur.
Before moving to main dish let fill our stomach with something acidity, soup served is Tom Yam Soup. It taste sour and spicy which is really appetizing.
Moving to the main dish, we started with Ice Station where whole lot of fresh seafood is well presented on top of ice. The most attracting and signature of this theme buffet is definitely the Alaska Crab, accompany with Clayfish, clam, oyster and prawn.
The Alaskan Crab is extremely fresh and eat bite can taste the natural sweetness, even though it is slightly salty but the freshness is enough to cover it saltiness.
Fresh oyster is served on ice cube, they refill very frequently hence you don’t have to worry it running out of stock. I not really a fan of oyster but I found the oyster is a little bit small.
The Seafood Buffet must not miss the Sashimi, assorted Sashimi perfectly presented and each type has it unique delicious flavor.
Right opposite the Fresh Seafood Station is cook salmon top with fish roe.
Assorted type of Sushi.
Hot Dishes Station fill with stir fried vegetable with mushroom, baked potato, curry lamb, yellow curry beef, coconut sauce curry prawn, sweet and sour fish…etc.
For even hotter dishes, Grill Station is what we looking for, on the spot grilling of Salmon, Lamb, Prawn, Scallop and Skewer. We are truly impress with the dipping sauce provided here, it taste a little bit spicy, sweet and sour. The dipping sauce really enhance the flavor of grilled protein so much, we even use it as dipping sauce throughout the whole night of buffet.
Signature Roast Duck is a must eat dish, Roast Duck is extremely succulent and flavorful. A small of portion is definitely not enough, we took 3 rounds of roasted duck as it just simply too delicious.
If the above main dishes is not enough for you then Char Koay Teow or Soup base Noodle definitely fit your choice. Char Koay Teow is slightly below average as it too oily and salty.
Enough of main dishes and our stomach almost reach the maximum capacity, it time to savor some dessert. There is whole lot of choices and she is went crazy and take almost everything.

OMG, she took so much of dessert. Tick Tock Tick Tock….She finish all the dessert with a little bit help from me.
That not all, instead right beside the Dessert Station is Crepe and Ice Cream Station, we ordered one Crepe with Vanilla and Mango Ice Cream.
Enough of her favorite and it time for me to savor what I like the most, FRESH FRUITS. Yes, red watermelon, yellow watermelon, honey dew, papaya, grape and dragon fruits.
Here is my “dessert”, I really enjoy eating fresh fruits.
