Sticks and Spoon Dim Sum Oriental Cafe Elite Avenue

Sticks and Spoon Oriental Cafe located at the new “shop lot + condo” Elite Avenue, as it still new so there is whole lot of parking space and free of charge. Sticks and Spoon is an oriental cafe serving dim sum with local delicacy such as fried rice and noodle. The restaurant is spaces and nicely decorated with comfortable seat.

Chinese Tea served are Pu Er, Jasmine Tea and Ti Guan Yim RM3.50 per pax with free refill, they provide individual pot so that you are not bond to only one tea type per table.

They do served other beverage as well if you not going after Tea.

HK Style Beef Noodle RM13.80

XO Seafood Fried Rice RM11.80, it has very good wok hei and the fried rice is very fragrance and tasteful but we found it lack of XO flavor else it would be perfect.

Steamed Chicken Chestnut and Chinese Sausage Rice RM13.80, generous amount of ingredients added into the big bowl of steamed rice, the chicken is very soft while the chestnut sweetness gave the rice good flavor.

Steamed Minced Pork and Salted Fish with Rice RM11.80, the pork meat is extremely soft and i found it too soft to my liking.

XO Sauce Loh Pao Gow RM8, stir fried radish cake with XO sauce.

Lau Sar Pao RM6, the salted egg custard bun is leaking out from the bun immediately after we open it, taste sweet with a little bit sauteed taste.

Chi ma Chou RM5.40, extremely crispy skin that fully cover with sesame and surprisingly inside fill with melting black sesame, it doesn’t taste too sweet which is just nice for us.

Xiao Long Bao RM5.50, i believe this should be the most reasonable Xiao Long Bao i ever eat before, for just RM5.50 you got to enjoy 3 xiao long bao and the best thing is the xiao long bao taste so good.

Handmade Fish Ball RM4.50

Yu Dan Siu Mai RM4.50, their siu mai totally different from most of the dim sum restaurant, their pork meat are in pieces which gave it a good bite texture and it taste delicious.

Gi Ji Siu Mai RM4.50

Spare Ribs RM4.80

Salad Prawn Puffs RM5.00, perfectly deep fried prawn puff stuff with fresh prawn is tasty.

Crispy Prawn Rolls RM5, deep fried to crispy skin bean curb fill with fresh prawn.

Dragon Fruit Jelly RM4.50, one of the ladies favorite of the night is definitely this plate of Jelly. It taste sweet and sour with a little bit firm texture making it taste good.

Kwai Fa Jelly RM4.50, pretty much the same texture as dragon fruit jelly but we found the kwai fa taste to be a little bit mild.

2828 Beef Noodle Koay Teow Cafe Penang

2828 Beef Noodle Cafe has been around for very long time and I will come here whenever i craving for Beef Noodle. The coffee shop has another staff selling economy rice as well but i never try it out since my main objective to come here is to eat beef noodle so i never has empty room to try other things.

The only downside about this hawker is the chili paste, it just too simple without much oomph. I love the one i ate in KL Petaling Street Shin Kee which has the best beef noodle and chili.

While waiting for our noodle to be ready we try the RM1.50 Nasi Lemak, the chili paste is too less but still taste not bad, especially the crispy ikan bilis.

My beef noodle aka beef koay teow, I always order extra ingredients but i forgot how much, should be around RM8 or 9. Sorry, i really can’t recall how much. There is whole lot ingredients and the soup is clear and flavorful.

I like the beef tendon very much and always remember to eat the beef meat immediately after served else it will become rough and chewy. The soup is very clear and full of beef flavor, we did not taste thirsty after eating as well. That day we went on 11 something and the soup is not that thick so I highly recommend to go after 12.30pm, although you have to wait for sometime but the soup is definitely taste good.

Check out other Beef Noodle location such as Beef Noodle at B Garden for dinner time, Sai Lam Beef Wan Tan Noodle for lunch time, Beef Ball Noodle a HoPing (lunch) or you can try Vietnamese Beef Noodle at Que Hoong Toi or Hoong Que. My all time favorite still the one in KL Petaling Street Shin Kee.

Kochabi Double Content Restaurant located at Penang Time Square ground floor. The restaurant emphasize on Taiwanese food and “double content” means one main dish with one bowl of soup, that is how Taiwanese delicacy should be. The restaurant is spaces with additional sitting area behind the restaurant, clean and comfortable decoration

Reasonable price for drink selection where most of it below RM5 and for sure you can get the famous milk tea as well.

Sticky Three Word Pork Rib Ala Cartes RM13.90, the pork ribs is marinated and deep fried, served with brown sauce.

A Mei’s Pan Fried Cod Fish Ala Carte RM28.90, deep fried cod fish top with sweet sauce that taste pretty much like Japanese tepanyaki sauce.

Pan Fried Garlic Chicken Ala Carte RM10.90, chicken drumstick grilled to crispy skin and top with garlic sauce, the garlic sauce is extremely fragrance with mild saltiness taste.

Drunken Chicken Ala Carte RM12.90, chicken drumstick use to cook with herb and lycium which taste very sweet and delicious.

Tong Po Meat Ala Carte RM14.90, very thin layer of meat on this pork belly where the best part is the fat on each layer, the fat part is just so delicious and taste good.

Beef Ramen RM14.90, it came with beef tendon and beef meat, soup taste sweet but slightly lack of beef flavor, noodle is springy and overall delicious.

Steamed Cod Fish D.Radish Set RM33.90, the cod fish is nicely cook with the strong flavor “chai po” that make it full of flavor.

Flavour Pan Fried Chicken Ala Carte RM15.90, chicken drum stick is grilled to a little bit char then top with home made sauce.

Crispy Lemon Chicken Ala Carte RM10.90, chicken drumstick perfectly deep fried to crispy then top with sesame and lemon sauce, it taste sweet with sesame fragrance.

Fried Chicken with Mango Sauce Ala Carte RM8.90, deep fried chicken top with sweet, spicy and sour sauce, it is very appetite and goes well with steamed rice.

Steamed Cod Fish Set RM33.90, cod fish steamed with ginger and mushroom with soy sauce, simple cooking method to bring out the natural sweetness of cod fish.

Hu Nan Spicy Stewed Beef Set RM18.90

Taiwan Style Fry Golden Prawns Set RM18.90, the prawn is perfectly deep fried to golden color then coat with a layer of mayonnaise, it taste sweet and delicious.

Other than dishes with rice, you can try their Steamboat in Kimchi Soup RM33.90, the soup based is kimchi flavor where a bunch of spicy cabbage in chili sauce are use, it came with assorted steamboat ingredients such as fish ball, crab meat, meat, vegetable…etc.

Iron Egg RM3.90, chicken egg braised in soup for certain hour to allow it fully absorb soup flavor is what iron egg about, it does has the extra flavor with egg fragrance, it has the hard texture that iron should have.

Mango Charlotte Crave RM13.90, it came with tiramisu biscuit, fresh mango slice, fresh strawberry and vanilla ice cream.

Crepe de Banana RM13.90, great use of crepe to wrap chocolate and banana then top with chocolate and two scoop of chocolate ice cream.

Strawberries Serendipity RM15.90, very nicely decorated dessert that has few layer of crunchy toast and brownie with scoop of ice cream, it just like a snow house with assorted fresh fruits.

Azuki Matcha Toast RM13.90, the macha ice cream is so flavorful and the red bean that match so well with it, two layer of crispy toast gave it some extra texture and flavor.

Huong Que Vietnamese Restaurant in Georgetown Penang

Huong Que, another Vietnamese Restaurant in Penang. Previously we visited Que Huong Toi and in love with Vietnamese food especially beef noodle. Now at Lebuh Melaka there is another one call Huong Que Vietnamese Restaurant, parking can be found at road side but quite limited. The restaurant is pretty small with just a few table only. By the time we visit there is just a few items in the menu, pretty much like other Vietnamese restaurant.

We had the Vietnamese Coffee, honestly it doesn’t taste like Vietnamese Coffee instead it taste more like 3 in 1 coffee that you can get in any super market. If you really want to try the Vietnamese Coffe, you have to try Que Huong Toi which taste really good and I can’t sleep at night, probably too much caffeine.

Vietnamese Fried Popiah RM8.70, deep fried popiah fill with carrot, meat…etc. It came with special chili paste that taste sweet and spicy, dipping popiah into chili paste taste pretty good especially the crispy skin that has very good bite texture.

Beef Noodle RM8.70 (Pho), it is a must try in any Vietnamese Restaurant. Pho consist of fresh beef, onion spring onions and Vietnamese Flat Noodle. The soup has a hint of sweetness with mild beef and herb taste. You can opt for better beef quality by order Australia Beef RM13.70.

Beef Noodle and Chee Cheong Fun at B Garden Cafe Penang

Been looking for good beef noodle in Penang recently, although i found a couple good one such as Sai Lam Coffee Shop, Sukhothai Beef Noodle House or Golden Happy Cafe in Sungai Nibong but that never stop me for continue searching for more. Today i going to share the one i found in B Garden Cafe Penang which is located at Jalan Tan Sri Teh Ewe Lim or we normally call Batu Lanchang Road (Same row at Lam Wah Ee Hospital). The restaurant located next to main road and you can easily see the big blue signboard, in this cafe there is all different type of Penang delicacy such as Bah Kut Teh, Nasi Kandar…etc.

Chee Cheong Fun, prawn paste with a little bit spicy chili paste top with sesame. It has very smooth texture and the prawn paste doesn’t has too strong fishy taste which is quite good.

Beef Noodle, we had extra ingredients which cost more but definitely worth it. I can’t recall how much it is but it should be around RM8. It has almost every part of beef and every part cook perfectly. I like the beef stomach very much which is extremely crunchy and beef is not overcook which is still soft and can easily bite. The soup is very clear and tasty, although it doesn’t has very strong beef flavor but the beef natural sweetness is what i am looking for.

B Garden Cafe, you can park at opposite and walk over or park behind residential area, it shouldn’t be too hard to get parking space in this area. There is a couple of hawker that look interesting, i will be back to try out something else.
