Another visit to Love A Load Bakery which we just visit few days back. Always miss their daily fresh baked bread and coffee. Seem like we need quite some time to try all their bakery since some of them are so delicious and we keep re-order. The environment is so comfortable and ample parking space available here making it our top choice for bakery shop.

We like how they put all their bread on see through shelf that allow customer to easily choose their favorite bread and it help to maintain cleanliness as well.

I particular like their danish pastry which taste like thousand crispy layer that taste a little bit salty and sweet, plain croissant always my favorite while adding in Chocolate gave it another flavor and it taste pretty though. Buttery Almond Danish is definitely must try as it has fully cover with almond flake that has extremely nice flavor and crispiness.

Darkseed Grain Bread RM3.80, huge amount of various grain added on top of the bread with sesame, while the Japanese Matcha Mochi RM3.50 i have described in my previous post.

Love A Loaf Bakery Vantage Desiran Tanjung Tokong

Love A Loaf Bakery now has a new outlet at Vantage Desiran Tanjung, Tanjung Tokong. We has been hearing countless positive feedback on their fresh baked cake at The One, Bayan Baru and now we got the chance to try out at their new outlet. I am amazed by their great variety of bread and cake with brewed coffee, you can enjoy a cup of coffee while tasting the delicious fresh baked bread. The bakery cafe is clean and nicely decorated, huge variety of bread on the right side with a big display fridge loaded with assorted cake.

They have some creative bread such as Japanese Matcha Mochi, Darkseed Grain Bread…etc which you hardly can get it in Penang bakery shop. Pricing on their bread and cake is pretty reasonable as well, normal bread around RM3 something while cake price is RM6.90 and RM7.90 which is very affordable.

Japanese Matcha Mochi RM3.50 (Left), fluffy bun fill with Matcha and Mochi aka Japanese Glutinous Rice. The overall texture is very special since the Mochi has some chewy texture while the Matcha has great flavor.

Shervone Cake 2.0 Bakery Cafe Shop Penang Pulau Tikus

Shervone Cakes 2.0 should sound familiar to us since this is the 2nd shop where the first one located at Bayan Baru Krystal Point, famous for it custom made cake. The new Shervonce Cake 2.0 is located at Pulau Tikus, right beside the main street, limited parking available in front of the shop but you may park across the road and walk over. The restaurant serving great variety of cake, chocolate and food but that not all instead they do have event decoration items as well, you may want to check out their shop for your upcoming birthday party.

During our visit we try whole lot of thing started with drink like Lemonade, Hot Tea, Affogato and Cappuccino.

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, al dente spaghetti with fragrance garlic oil and garlic slice, it is one of the best dishes we had where we truly enjoy the garlic fragrance and smooths of the texture.

Spaghetti Bolognese Chicken, spaghetti cook in tomato paste with chicken mince. We found that the tomato paste too dry which would taste better if more sauce will added.

Briyani Spice Rice with Chicken, perfectly marinated chicken grilled to perfection top with almond flake side with fresh salad and fried rice. The small bowl of chili paste that goes well with the fried rice, chicken is juicy and pack a punch of flavor.

The Long Meal which has gotten it name from all the long ingredients found on the plate. The first on the left is egg, follow by sausage and chicken wrap.

Ciabatta Cheesy Chicken, healthy choice of food found here is the sandwich that consist of ham, cheese and fresh vegetable with side salad.

Penang Laksa is the owner secret recipe pass down from his parent with some tweak to modernize the traditional laksa, instead of using ordinary Laksa noodle he selected Angelhair spaghetti which claim to have better texture and flavor. The soup is full of fish meat came with assorted fresh vegetable such as cucumber, mint leave, onion, lettuce and chili.

We found assorted chocolate on the shelve and we will inform that they just started making chocolate by their own starting this year, another milestone hit by the owner which is a new challenge to him and his wife. They started making more and more dessert and now home made chocolate is on the dessert line, great variety of chocolate available for selection such as Rum Raisin, Peanut Butter Rocher, Curry Banan Chocolate, Matcha Choclate, Crunchy Wasabi…etc

Ipoh 302 Pastries 江永香饼

It been quite a while since our last visit to Ipoh, there is some places I miss so much such as Foh San Dim Sum富山茶楼, Rasa Lain Seafood Restaurant, JJ Cakes & Swiss Rolls…etc. Today i going to share something different and it definitely more than normal, more than what tourist know and it is such a great place for biscuit. 302 Biscuit House, located at Gunung Rapat where the origin of various traditional biscuit was created. The shop has been operating for so many years and now handle by their kids already, well maintenance of the original flavor and method of processing the biscuit. On the same street itself you will find a couple of biscuit shop, in order to get the right shop make sure you spot the “302 江永香饼” which most of the shop use number to identify them self.

We are lucky to visit their production where we got the opportunity to witness how the biscuit was created from flour. It is definitely a special experience for us after so many years of blogging.

Here is how the pastries was made. What they so call old flour or fermented flour are kept for certain duration before they are mixed with new flour to create a unique dough which was then cut into small size.

The biscuit was perfectly craft into shape with filling.

Which was then flatten and top with sesame, ready to be put into oven.

While the making of Tau Sar Pneah (豆沙饼) slightly different, there is two type of dough mix together to create the crispiness.

It will be roll over and over again for the two different dough to mix together.

It was then wrapped into small round size and ready to be cook.

Here is the final product, we are glad to taste it immediately after it coming out from oven which is extremely crispy and delicious.

豆沙饼 RM3.50/10pcs which has very soft and crispy skin which filling is not too sweet and it has a hint of saltiness.

豆蓉饼 RM4/10pcs whereas 豆蓉饼 taste a little bit sweet but it has the crispiness as the 豆沙饼.

香饼 RM6.50 per pack which is much more crispy compare to the above two pastries, i expect the filling to be very sweet but i was wrong, the filling is just right on the sweetness level and the filling evenly distribute for every bite.
