I believe Guo Xiang Fu Steamboat 锅香府特色火锅专卖店 is familiar to my belove reader as we wrote about their 海龙王海鲜粥低锅 steamboat before and we love it so much. Guo Xiang Fu recently launch a new flavor steamboat which are Grouper Fish Head Soup Steamboat.

Grouper Fish Head Steamboat RM65 that came with deep fried fish head, tofu and cabbage in it, on top of that side ingredients such as enoki, two type of fish ball, bean curb and two plate of rice noodle are included as well. A reasonable portion that is enough for three to four persons. *One Day Advanced Booking Required.

Steamboat served on claypot instead of steel pot which are better in retention heat and we always believe that it has better flavor. There is whole lot of fresh grouper fish meat found inside, really a lot of big pieces of fish meat inside and soup that awesome, it is extremely flavorful with fish freshness taste. Best thing is we don’t feel thirsty after eating.

Love their secret sauce, it taste a little bit spicy and goes well with any steamboat ingredients.

A small bowl of liquor are provided which taste like brandy to me, add into the steamboat help to boost its flavor and sweetness but personally I prefer the original taste which has stronger fish freshness, by adding in liquor it become too sweet for me.

Deep Fried Enoki Mushroom RM6.50, instead of deep fried whole bunch of enoki mushroom they took the effort to separate it then only deep fried, it make every single pieces of enoki mushroom to be perfectly deep fried to crispiness.

We add on more ingredients since we have 6 persons on table and we really enjoy the crazy night eating steamboat nonstop while those girl talk about 003 (don’t get me wrong, 003 is a hair product).

Prawn & Prosciutto Ham Salad RM33, my favorite rocket leaf served with prosciutto and salted prawn top with pink peppercorn dressing. Well balanced flavor.

Smoked Duck Salad RM25, I am in love with chef presentation on salad, it is a piece of art. Great combination of various fresh vegetable with cheese, orange and red wine. Smoke duck are nicely done to flavor and texture.

Braised Pork Cheek with Red Wine RM38, tender pork cheek nicely cook with red wine that fully absorb wine sweetness and it is so tender. Serving with oyster mushroom, onion and asparagus.

Lobster Ravioli in Crab Bisque RM65, creamy and rich flavor crab bisque served with lobster ravioli. Although the portion is rather small but the taste worth the value. It is so rich in flavor, full of crab freshness taste and lobster meat are nicely done to texture as well.

Braised Australian Beef Brisket RM68, chef surprise us with what we think about beef, completely different from our expectation. The big chunk of beef brisket is nicely marinated and braised to flavor, it is so smooth in texture and full of flavor. The onion chip not only look awesome instead it taste great, a little bit of bitter and sweet taste.

Sous Vide Flavourful Herb Chicken RM30, two pieces of chicken thigh grilled to perfection, season with rosemary herbs which are pretty strong in flavor.

Seared Artisanal Smoked Salmon RM58, such a mystery dish. Served with a glass dome that covering the dish with “smoke”, immediately after open up the dish we smell very strong smoke flavor and witness the awesome Salmon presentation. Served with caramelized apple, zucchini and onion pickle. Bottom are fill with mash potato and dressing with vanilla foam.

Raspberry Mousse Cake with Fruit RM28, raspberry sauce with sweet mousse cake will never go wrong, it is very soft and smooth, not too sweet as well. The caramelized walnut surprise us, never know that walnut can be so tasty.

Here we are again at Tofu Village, heard that they launch new menu and we are so interested. The new menu introduce new flavor of stew hotpot which are Sweet & Sour Tofu, Black Bean Sauce Yong Tao Fu, Egg Plant with Basil Leaf and Tomyam Vege Soup. Other than that they going to roll out Rice Wine Chicken as well.

黄酒鸡 Rice Wine Chicken, homemade rice wine cook with fresh chicken which taste sweet with a little bit of salty taste. The rice wine are freshly prepare by the owner and it took few months to go through the fermented process, it has high level of sweetness with a little bit of spicy taste.

招牌焖猪脚 Braised Pork’s Trotter RM12.90, collagen, collagen, collagen. Yummy, I just love the sticky texture of pork trotter especially the fat part which are extremely delicious. It is nicely cook to flavor with smooth texture.

客家五彩算盘子 Assorted Abacus, it still one of the best I get in town. The fragrance of dry squid, pork lard and dry shrimp is just awesome. Instead of yam only now they introduce Purple Sweet Potato, Pumpkin, Blue Flower and Spinach which make the plate more colorful.

黑豆鼓焖锅 Black Bean Sauce Yong Tao Fu RM14, great amount of black bean sauce use to stew with homemade Yong Tao Fu. It has pretty strong flavor that goes extremely well with either Hakkan Noodle or Rice.

东炎酿豆腐 Tomyam Yong Tau Fu, our all time favorite Tom Yam soup. It taste pretty sour with mild spiciness, huge range of ingredients available and it taste awesome. Personally I like to eat with Rice while my wife prefer to have instant noodle, it really doesn’t matter as the key item still the flavorful soup.

卤肉饭 Minced Pork Rice RM4.20, rice and braised pork minced fragrance covering our nose immediately when it served, it is a simple dish but it take long time to prepare as the braised pork required long hour cooking time to extract the best flavor.

Matsuki Japanese Restaurant is definitely a hidden gem near Gurney area. Restaurant located inside a bungalow (or Semi-D), a very old restaurant that serve great Japanese Food.

We had Spicy Seafood Ramen RM18 and Sushi Tempura Set RM30, both are extremely good.

Spicy Seafood Ramen consist of assorted seafood and vegetable, soup taste sweet and spicy with seafood fresness. Japanese yellow ramen are use, it has great texture.
