Dome Café is originated in Perth, Australia that pioneer the café culture in Malaysia since 1995, up to date they have a total of 14 outlet across the country. Dome Café not only famous for it signature café instead they do served lot of delicious food as well such as sandwiches, pasta, burger and desserts.

Dome Café Appetizer, deep fried fish fillet, calamari and prawn served with various sauce.

Seafood Chowder served with two Garlic Bread, chowder is cream based soup which extracted the sweetness from various seafood such as clam, oyster, prawn…etc, additional use of barley and corn help to increase it sweetness.

Gourmet Chicken Pie, a home style chicken and mushroom filling topped with a golden pastry cap and served in a porcelain bowl. Served with sautéed vegetables.

Wheat Sandwich with Smoked Salmon served with Deep Fried Wedges. Thick cut of smoked salmon with crunchy vegetable.

The Lot Burger, grilled 100% beef burger with egg, beef bacon, cos lettuce, tamota relish, sliced cheddar, mustard mayonnaise and fresh tomato in a toasted focaccia bun, served with chips.

Nasi Lemak served with crispy prawn cracker, rendang chicken, sambal ikan bilis, egg and peanut.

Vegetarian Pizza, think crust tomato topping pizza.

Thin Crust Pizza with olive, capsicum, onion…etc.

Spicy Olio Pasta, Your choice of linguini or spaghetti tossed with fresh herbs, garlic, chili flakes, red capsicum, spinach, parsley and zucchini. It taste spicy and the dry beef bacon minced taste sautéed which is delicious to go along with flat pasta.

Sea bass Fish and Chips, lightly battered fillets of fish served with fresh garden salad, chips and tartar sauce.

Salad with Oriental Chicken, tender chicken with mesclun salad, tomato, capsicum, cucumber and onion with sweet and sour sauce and peanut.

Tiramisu, moist cake with mascarpone cheese and espresso flavored sponge fingers

Mango Juice

Coffee Twister, blended with a shot each of espresso and chocolate as well as real, freshly roasted coffee beans. Tops with a light dusting of chocolate

Dome Café Drinks

Certain item taste pretty good but it price slightly pricey.

Burger King in Penang

I am puzzling whether to publish this review or not as Burger King has been in Penang for so long time but this is our first time to try it out. Anyhow, we decided to share no matter how as our objective is to share. The reason we come to Burger King is because we visited Strawberry Forever and Burger King is just right beside it.
My last time to dine in Burger King was few years back in KL, I remember it is not that cheap compare to McDonald but I remember it taste pretty good.
I am surprise by the price when I step into Penang Burger King, it is dirt cheap, probably they are fighting with their competitor for lower price.
We had BK Single and Whopper JR set meal for just RM5.95 each.

Burger King still maintain good quality for their burger, just that the picture show is bigger size and more ingredient compare to actual burger but that is same for all fast food company, we are get use to it.
RM5.95 for a meal is pretty cheap as it come with french fries and soft drink.

Sushi Tei Japanese Restaurant at Gurney Plaza

Good News to Japanese food lover, Sushi Teh is landed in Gurney Plaza (actually it been sometime just that we recently try it). We try Sushi Tei at Pavilion KL before and has good impression toward this restaurant.

Soft Shell Crab Maki, soft shell crab is kind of cold and not crispy but using the fish roe wrapping around the maki making it taste good, if the soft shell crab can be deep fried after taking ordered I believe the overall taste will be better.

Salmon Sushi RM4.20, salmon sushi price is reasonable and the salmon is fresh just that the cut is slightly too thin, rice is done firmly and nice.

Dashimaki Tamago RM4.20, as Tamago lover we just can’t stop our self from making this order. Tamago served hot instead of cold like other Japanese restaurant, love it thick cut and strong egg flavor, very delicious.

Yakitori Don RM12.80, onion fried with chicken in teriyaki sauce. Chicken drumstick use to create a soft and succulent texture while the onion give a natural sweetness together with the teriyaki sauce, it look to be small portion but indeed lot of rice underneath the teriyaki chicken. I just love the sweet taste of chicken meat taken with white rice.

Hotate Tamago Don RM18.80 + Combo(Steamed Egg and Soup) RM3, egg, onion and scallop cook and fully cover whole bento, scallop is fresh and delicious while the egg and onion making the rice taste so good.

With extra RM3 you get a steamed egg and miso soup.

Sushi Tei located at second floor Gurney Plaza

RM2 charge for a cup of green tea is slightly pricey as compare to other Japanese restaurant either offer it free or just RM1. Overall taste not bad and we are glad to offer another choice of Japanese food in town.

Rose Cheese Cake with Fruit Cocktail at Winter Warmer

Winter Warmers is a great place for few friends to sit down and have long conversation, nice environment with lovely cocktails. Main attraction of the restaurant is their tea range such as ice fruit tea, hot mil tea and herbal tea served in tea pot that imported, if you interested to get the antique look tea set you can get from the shelve as they do put it up for sale as well. On top of that they do served main dish as well but I has yet to try it out hence no comment, we will try it out very soon.

Iced Grandpa Fruit Cocktail RM11.90, very refreshing drink with small chunk of fruit in it, taste very smooth and one jug is just not small.

Rose Cheese Cake RM7.90, highly recommended to try out their Rose Cheese Cake, the cheese cake itself has very mild rose flavor but the surprisingly the dry rose give a very strong rose aroma. The cheese cake itself is comparable to Secret Recipe standard.

Sakae Sushi 1st Avenue Mall

We are glad to be invited by Sakae Sushi to attend blogger event at 1st Avenue, it located at 4th floor and honestly we doesn’t know it located there after so many visit to 1st Avenue Mall. Sakae Sushi recently upgraded to Ipad interactive menu which gave a much more styling look, save more space and much more user friendly. The trend today is Ipad, Ipad, Ipad and Ipad, it is so convenient that you can use it anywhere anytime, the most important is the sharp display that make the food look much more attracting.

Kaisen Salad RM16.90, Tantalizingly fresh servings of prawns, tuna flakes, snow crab leg and assorted vegetables served with creamy goma dressing.
Fresh vegetable gave a crunchy texture while the goma dressing is something new to us, unexpected the goma dressing can be so tasty.

Hotate Mentaiyaki RM20.90, succulent half shell scallops grilled with cod fish roe. The scallop is so delicious and rich in flavor.

This is special made for us which allow us to try all five new sushi in one go, well presented and all taste just so good.
Ebi Crepe RM5.99(most left), Luscious roll consisting of whole cooked prawn with assorted vegetables and mayonnaise wrapped in a light crepe layer.

Soft Shell Crab Maki RM5.99, mouth-watering maki creation of crispy soft shell crab, sweet beancurb, sushi rice and spicy mayonnaise
My all time favorite is soft shell crab sushi, instead of using seaweed to roll sushi they use sweet beancurb which gave a combination of sautéed and sweet taste.

Hana Maki RM9.99, beautifully crafted flower rolls with delicate raw salmon petals and sushi rice centre topped with mayonnaise and a luxurious sprinkle of shrimp roe.
The salmon is very fresh and you can taste the natural sweetness of salmon from this maki.

Sakae Blossom RM9.99, Intricately-designed roll of tempting grilled salmon, shrimp row and mayonnaise on a delightful maki.
Well presented maki with the use of salmon as flower blossom, it look fantastic and taste awesome as well.

Inari Avocado Ebi RM7.99, succulent whole prawn mixed with delicious vegetables and salad dressing, wrapped in sweet beancurb skin.
Another well presented dish, a small salad in sweet beancurb. It taste good.
Ebi Crepe

Curry Udon RM12.90, Japanese curry wheat noodles with chicken. The curry is delicious just not thick enough, as the curry can’t really stick to the udon.

Kaisen Pirikara Nabe RM24.90, Appetising hotpot of prawns, cuttlefish, salmon, mushrooms, and assorted vegetables in flavorful kimchee soup.
This is my favorite of the noon, the kimchee soup is so refreshing and appetite. I alone almost eat the whole bowl as the spicy and sour soup together with various seafood and vegetable is just awesome.

Mocha Ice Cream RM5.90, Black Sesame Ice Cream RM6.90, Dragon Fruit Ice Cream RM5.90, Passion Fruit Ice Cream RM6.90
Among the four ice cream, we like passion fruit the most for it refreshing sour and sweet flavor while the next favorite is Mocha Icre Cream which has very strong Mocha flavor, best thing is all ice cream are without coloring.
