Famous Char Siu at Restoran Spring Golden

Famous Char Siu at Restoran Spring Golden located at Taman Perindustrian Axis Shah Alam, well known for its Char Siu(Sweet Roast Pork) and Roast Chicken. We are so lucky to find a parking space right in front of the restaurant after turning around for more than 15 minutes.

It is very important to have good chili to go along with Chicken Rice and the chili here is not disappointed, it is indeed quite good.

The Char Siu is cut into big pieces with multi layer of fat and meat between, it perfectly burn to perfection and sweetness is just on the right level. Char Siu is extremely soft and juicy, soft bite and the meat is split apart.

Roast Pork is as well very delicious, the skin is extremely crispy while the meat is soft and juicy.

Same goes to the Roast Chicken, it is very juicy and flavorful, I can take it even without any chili.

Boiled bean sprout garnish with spring onions.

Glad to be here and tasting the delicious Char Siew. On my next visit, I want to try their roast duck as it seem to be very delicious as well.

Tokyo Shokudo at Mid Valley

Wondering around the big shopping complex Mid Valley undecided where to go for our breakfast, just has a thought to go for Japanese Restaurant but don’t know which to choose since there is a few choices. Finally saw Tokyo Shukudo which located at ground floor and it decoration is pretty attractive, sit down and browse the menu. After looking for 5minute we still cannot decide what to eat as the menu doesn’t seem to be interesting at all but since we are already in hence we just place our ordered and finger cross it taste good.
Calamansi Drink RM3.00

Tamkotsu Ramen RM16, pork ramen with boiled egg, the ramen is not really springy and doesn’t has texture like ramen we eat before instead it more like yellow noodle that we use to have in Hokkien Mee, the soup is not really rich in flavor with that say the Ramen just taste normal.

Buta Kimuchi Set RM22, kimchi serve in hot plate with salad, steamed egg and rice. The kimchi sour and spicy taste is tasty, best taking with rice.

Tontama RM6, egg wrap with meat, the meat is rather tasteless and no sauce provided hence this dish not really taste good.

Tokyo Shukudo

Overall the taste of dishes we had is below expectation, we kind of regret to eat here but in life there is always first time and you learn from it.

Sweet and Sour Chili Crab at Fatty Crab Taman Megah

We heard of the big name Fatty Crab Taman Megah since our study time in KL many years ago but as student we always low on budget hence never got a chance to try it, on our recent visit to KL we finally step into the restaurant and fill our stomach with the famous crab dishes in this restaurant.

As usual a small hammer will be provided to knock open crab shell.

Deep Fried Chicken Wing RM4.40 (RM2.20 each), the deep fried chicken wing taste really good which taste sautéed and juicy inside, it has slightly crispy skin as well.

Fried Rice RM5, for the price is really worth as the portion is definitely enough for two of us, the fried rice as well very tasty as it not too dry and the present of egg create strong egg aroma.

Sweet and Sour Chili Crab RM54 (per 600 gram RM36), finally signature dish is presented to our table after waiting for so long, oh yes it was full house during our visit and I believe most of the time it full house. We just know that people call this dish as chili crab or spicy crab and we expected it should taste like Singapore version chili crab which taste sweet and spicy but we are wrong, the taste here is totally different, it taste sweet and sour and mild spiciness only. The sauce is very appetite and we just can’t stop dipping the sauce, by the way I seem to be too excited talking about the sauce and forgot about the big fresh crab, we purposely ordered big crab as it much more meaty and the crab served never disappointed us as well, the crab is meaty and extremely fresh, the meat is sweet and delicious.

Bread RM1.20, every table has toasted bread and we know the reason why after dipping it into the sweet and sour sauce, what a perfect combination it form.

Prawn RM31(per 600 gram RM62), reading few other review from blogger but seem like prawn is not in their review, I highly recommend this dish as pan fried prawn with garlic making it taste so good, the prawn itself is big and fresh while the garlic making it so much flavorful.

It full house everyday for a reason and the reason is simple, “Delicious” and that make it all. The dish is delicious and the seafood is fresh, no hundred or thousand selection in menu instead just few signature dish is good enough.

Downtown KLIA Seafood Restaurant

Our trip first meal started from KLIA downtown, it just few kilometers away from LCCT but not walking distance, so if you stay at TUNE hotel better find something to eat at Airport which just RM1 by taking the shuttle between Tune Hotel and LCCT Airport.

So happy to meet up my friend after few months never see each others.
He drive us down to Downtown KLIA Seafood restaurant for our dinner, the restaurant is super big and it Halal.
