New Dragon Gate Seafood Village Restaurant at Tanjung Bungah

New Dragon Gate Seafood Restaurant is a new seafood restaurant located at Tanjung Bungah. The restaurant just right behind Viva Food Court and parking available at road side. Wide range of seafood available here and something special is their RM160/kg supersize crab that imported from Indonesia, I wonder whether it as big as the one i ate in Singapore Ba Dao Guan before or not. Em…must find a chance to try it out.

Lala Steamed with Chili Lemon RM18, a dish that good to start our meal, it taste sour and spicy. The sourish sauce is indeed very appetizing and the lala is clean without any sand in it.

Steamed Fish with Baba Style (900grams) RM54, big fresh fish steamed to perfection then top with Baba sauce and garnished with shallot and mint leave, the sauce taste sour with little bit spicy.

Vietnamese Prawn RM45, de-shell prawn deep fried then cook with Vietnamese sauce which taste very similar to Asam Prawn.

Assorted Tofu with Abalone Sauce RM18, one of their signature dish is the black tofu which it ingredients are imported from Taiwan. The tofu is served with deep fried Enokitake and soy sauce, I like the tofu smooth texture and crispy Enokitake combination.

Chicken with Blackcurrants Sauce RM25, instead of using read made juice they grind the blackcurrants and use it juice for cooking, chicken is perfectly deep fried to crispiness while the sweet and sour blackcurrant juice make it very appetizing.

Dragon Vegetable with Lotus Root RM18, stir fried Dragon Vegetable is crunchy but the “green” taste which not really my favorite.

Jiashi Restaurant Lembah Permai Tanjung Bungah

My mum highly recommended this place for dinner, according to her great dishes are served here. Well, for us it a little bit far but since mum highly recommended we have to try it out, so we went there on Sunday and reach there around 7 but it already pack with people, we just have to wait for around 10 minutes to get a seat.

Egg Cook Biter Gourd RM14, i like this dish very much. Egg is not 100% cook served with slightly bitter taste biter gourd make a well balanced dish, add on a little bit of soy sauce making it taste so good, simple yet delicious.

Belacan Chicken RM15, nicely marinated chicken deep fried to crispy skin while maintain juiciness of chicken meat.

Kak Kua with Crab Meat and Tofu RM20, Kak Kua is a type of vegetable but i can’t find it english name so i remain hokkien naming Kak Kua 角瓜, cook with crab meat, tofu and egg.

10sen WanTan at Uncle Gan WanTanMee Tanjung Bungah

We been long heard about this Uncle Gan hawker who sell 10sen Wantan and RM2.50 WanTanMee, finally we prove TheStar news is correct. We are really amaze by the super duper cheap wan tan mee. The shop is located at Uncle Gan house and operated by himself with his wife so you won’t see any other worker there. Both of them are extremely friendly and nice to every customer, although they might be slow in serving but why not give them a hand? They cook and we served our self, we even count the deep fried wan tan our self.

The shop is located at Jalan Lembah Permai, opposite Tenby International School. House number 71.

No big signage so you have drive slowly and look for the white background red work “雲吞面”.

Only 3 table inside the house so we normally just share with other customer.

Wantan mee is RM2.50 only, a big bowl of wantan mee with 4 pieces of deep fried wan tan. The dark sauce taste sweet, a little bit too sweet for my liking but still acceptable and the noodle is springy and taste good.

This is what is crazy for, 10sen deep frid wantan. I believe you can’t find this anywhere in the world, 10sen each is extremely cheap. I just wonder whether they make any profit or not. Uncle, i do really respect your passion and love.

Most of the wantan mee hawker just simply put a little bit of meat inside but here even though just 10sen but they put quite a generous amount of meat in it and all those meat are marinated, it is extremely crispy and delicious.

Tomyum Noodle at De’Corner Kitchen Tanjung Tokong

Tomyum is always ours favorite, we just love to eat Tomyum and whenever we hear there is a new Tomyum shop, we will be there. Today we are here at De’Corner Kitchen located opposite Viva Food Court, very near to Four Point by Sheraton.The restaurant is nicely decorated to have a very comfortable outdoor seating although it might be a little bit warm if you go early but 8pm onward very windy so not a problem to seat outdoor.

De’ Corner Classic RM11.90 is their signature drink that consist of secret ingredients that make the coffee taste different, it doesn’t has very strong coffee aroma but it has very balanced flavor and the thick form, yes very thick form that make it special.

Moving to our anticipated Tomyum, whole lot of different ingredients up for selection such as mushroom, vegetable, fish ball, fish meat…etc.

According to the owner, they hire Thailand chef to prepare their Tomyum soup in which you get to try the most authentic tomyum soup here. The Tomyum soup taste quite spicy and sourish but it definitely rich in flavor and easily be one of the best Tomyum we try before. Assorted noodle up for selection such as instant noodle, flat noodle, vermicelli (bee hun) or fusilli which is something special here. Anyhow, i still prefer vermicelli or instant noodle as it always the best combination.

On top of the signature Tomyum noodle, there is quite a variety of western food as well.
Miss Nyonya RM15.00, assorted vegetable on the bottom with perfectly grilled chicken meat on top, topping with Thai sweet sauce. Nice food presentation, chicken is juicy and the sweet sauce making it taste good.

Corner Classic RM15.00, grilled chicken meat top with lemongrass sauce, served with mashed potato, salad and wedges. The specialty of this dishes is definitely the lemongrass sauce that has a hint of lemongrass with creamy texture that match perfectly with the grilled chicken.

Mr. Bombay RM15.00, an Indian influence western food. Perfectly grilled chicken served with mashed potato, wedges and fresh vegetable top with spicy sauce.

Spaghetti Aglio Olio RM15.00, a combination of mushroom, onion, garlic, chicken ham spaghetti cook with olive oil, we found the taste to be a little bit normal and we believe there is still room for improvements.

We fill our stomach very fast this time and the main dishes contributed to that is the delicious Laksa, each of us eat a big full plate of Laksa. It has the right amount of sourness and spiciness, it is really good that each of us hope to eat again.

Self made Affogato, they do provide coffee machine and we make our own Affogato by having 2xExpresso with one big scoop of vanilla ice cream. Well, this is our creation of the night, thanks to Jazz that came out with this idea. That mark the end of our buffet brunch, it is really satisfy especially for the reasonable price.
